Durian Durian Cafe

Alas! 8 Days beat me to it.

We were in the East for a durian pig-out session last Sunday. Despite my durian slabbed fingers, managed to snap some photos with my *low resolution* phone camera because I wanted to show you this is probably the most glam place for durians in whole of Singapore!

I’m glad the magazine rated Durian Durian Café 4 out of 5 stars. This is indeed worth the review.

Around that area and craving for durians? Pop by and indulge in the King of fruits on comfy stools, marble tables, nice bins and of course, good soap for washing up!

Lobster Soup

@ Saegreifinn / Sea Baron

Everyone knows where to find the best lobster soup in town. Even the locals like it. It is situated by the old harbour, in an informal fish shack owned by a retired fisherman named Kjartan Halldorsson. The soup they served is like a rich creamy stew with large shrimp and lobster so delicious that I wished I have space for another. Ok I have to admit I’m a very soup person. Don’t forget to try their grilled fish too. If you are adventure enough, dig in to the whale or even shark meat and tell me if its nice. Really like the maritime theme of this place, its so very…. North Atlantic?

Icelandic "fusion cuisine", with Asian influence in an elegant seafood cellar.

Complimentary Entrée from the chef

Scallop - mmmmmm

Lobster “pick me up 2003” – the lobster that melts in your mouth

Lobster “classic”
Selection of fish “fantastic four”

Located in one of oldest cellar in Reykjavik, Iceland. I really recommend this place if you don’t mind the price. Its a little expensive but the food is a delight.

Hot hearty bowl of traditional Dutch pea soup. So thick that its almost a stew served with meat slice on rye bread. Maybe not many will like but it suits me.

I doubt freshness of seafood can ever go wrong in this country. Slurps.

Friet (French Fries) that are commonly found in Dutch fast food meal

Check out their Dorrius Restaurant that offers traditionally Dutch home-style dinner at the city centre Crowne Plaza too.

Big 21

We once split a tv remote and I guess we must have cracked some doors but I really think it just makes us more like sisters.

“If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child.”

Dear Pen, Happy Birthday.
